Talking Walls

Year 10 pupils from Holy Family College, Heywood explored the world of contemporary wallpaper at the Whitworth Art Gallery in Manchester. Pupils took inspiration from the wallpaper to produce drawings which were then turned into drypoint prints, incorporating collage of  buildings.

Who Cares?

During 2010, Alan Birch has been working alongside 3 artists in Galaxy House, Manchester Childrens Hospital. The programme, organised by the Whitworth Art Gallery has involved artists, musicians and poets working with children to enhance their learning experience.
