Alan Birch

This series of drypoints and etchings were inspired by the John Wyndham novel ” The Kraken Wakes ” . In the series the mighty Kraken is glimpsed as he prepares to face the day ahead. He is seen reaching for his many slippers, fumbling for his Y-Fronts , getting in the shower and other mundane activities. The series focuses on the subject of myth and power in the creation of literary figures.
