Alan Birch is currently working on a banner to be used in a protest march at the Tory Party Conference in October. The banner will feature in a protest against cruel cuts to school budgets. More pics after the event.

Artists new to print , were shown intaglio techniques by artist Alan Birch at Bury Art Gallery over the Bank Holiday weekend. Artists engraved added texture and collage to their prints as they explored the creative opportunities offered by the process. Some excellent prints were produced some of which will be shown in local galleries.
