Wallpaper Inspiration
Families were able to wander around the galleries at the Whitworth over half term, sketching and documenting work in the galleries. Children and parents were inspired by the wallpaper collection, the work of Bedwr Williams and the contemporary textile show. Families brought their sketches to the Learning Studio where they created and printed their own designs, assisted by artist Alan Birch and volunteers.Hundreds took part over the week, and some brilliant designs were produced, in conjunction with the wallpaper collection chosen by youngsters.
