Visitors to Prospect Studios raised at least £160 for Macmillan during the Open Studio event . 9 members of the print class, came up trumps again baking delicious cakes and Sheila Cave once again excelled herself. Its a great Open Studio tradition and is now expected.

Hawthorn Printmakers came to show their products as Prospect Printmakers before Christmas. Michael showed his range of rollers tools and inks to members of the group. Printers were particularly impressed by his range of inks, especially his silver and gold pigments. Michael shows his stock to Carolyn Murphy, Mel McMinn and Peter Cave.

Alan Birch spent 3 days working with pupils from St Chrysostoms Primary School in Manchester. Families spent an enjoyable and creative day working with printmaker Alan Birch. Referencing the work of Iranian printmaker Mohammad Barrangi, who was exhibiting his work in the space, participants created their own fantastical birds using wallpaper and collage.
