Newcomers to print.
Over 40 year 10 pupils experienced printmaking for the first time at the Whitworth in July. The workshops formed part of a whole week of a activities at Manchester Museum, aimed at encouraging pupils to apply to University. Pupils had one hour to draw from the contemporary wallpaper collection, and transform these drawings into engravings. As some of the pupils had not chosen to follow art to GCSE Level some great works appeared.
