Printed History!
Students from Melland High School in Levenshulme, Manchester illustrated the history of Levenshulme and Longsight through the media of print. The hardworking studentsexperimented with a host of print techniques ranging from drypoint, monoprint, relief and surface printing, producing vast amounts of high quality work. These printed pieces told the story of the Saxons and Vikings, farmsteads, Bonnie Prince Charlie’s visit to Manchester and the industrialisation of the area.
