Alan Birch

Printmaker Alan Birch spent 2 days working with year 2-4 pupils at St Jospehs Primary School in Ramsbottom creating prints which will be used as presents for Mothers Day. Theme explored were Pop Art and the work of Marc Chagall . Engravings and relief prints were made with all pupils creating their own drawings and plates before using water based inks to ink and later print their works using a portable press. For many pupils this was their first taste of printing.
