War Histories.
Year 10 students from Carr HillHigh School and Sixth Form Centre in Kirkham, listened to the harrowing tales of a survivor from Auschwitz. In response to this experience pupils produced a series of small drypoint prints which illustrated the events, and looked at the work of German artists of the period. The two day workshops culminated in pupils working on large drypoint prints on perspex. The students worked with a range of specialist drypoint tools, producing a series of proofs, which developed into their final powerful and accomplished prints.
“Many thanks for the recent workshops. I have to say that it was easily the best workshop we’ve ever done with an artist in school!”
