Space and Planets

Year 1 and 2 pupils from St Hilda’s Primary School in Chorlton spent 3 days working with artist Alan Birch representing the Whitworth Art Gallery. Pupils created space aliens , printing from recycled objects, relief printing of planets with polystyrene, create planets of the solar system by printing from modern and antique wallpapers from the Whitworths collection. Year 2 pupils also made collages of aliens, engraved them and printed them using Alans portable press. Some Brilliant work was produced.
