Easter prints
Over 500 parents and children experienced the joy of printmaking over the Easter break. Working with printmaker Alan Birch, visitors were encouraged to draw from the work of Barbara Brown, Andy Warhol and Deanna Petheridge. These drawings were used to transfer into shapes cut from wallpapers ( some from old sample books from the Whitworths collection). Visitors then inked and printed their own work using a portable press. It was great to see children’s and parents faces as prints came off the block.
