Printing in the Park
As part of the creative festival to commemorate the temporary closure off the Whitworth Art Gallery in Manchester, Alan Birch ran a successful print workshop in Whitworth Park on the last weekend of August. Luckily the weather held and over 120 people took part in the drypoint workshop. the weekend was a huge success with thousands of people visiting the park. The gallery will be closed whilst building work expands the gallery into the park. The new gallery will re-open in Summer 2014 and no doubt other activities will mark this moment!
