Teachers prints.
Teachers from the Greater Manchester area attended a printing masterclass with artist Alan birch at the Whitworth in Manchester in December. Nursery, primary and secondary teachers were introduced to techniques , ranging from relief prints which could be printed by hand to engraving using a portable printing press. Some threat work was produced and some really pushed printing techniques to the limit mixing collage with print. Teachers came from Tameside, Rossendale, Manchester and Stockport.
