Prints of nature.
Year 5 pupils from St Kentigerns Primary School in Manchester, lifted their spirits working with artist Alan Birch in conjunction with the Whitworth in Manchester. The pupils looked at resident wildlife, including trees, birds, animals and insects. Some sleepy and crestfallen pupils turned up the day after Englands loss in the Euros, but soon rallied producing some excellent drawings and engravings which were later hand coloured. The quality and the concentration of the groups was excellent.
