Pop art prints
Pupils from Park Road Primary School in Sale produced some excellent prints based on the Andy Warhol show at The Whitworth in Manchester. Pupils are introduced to printmaking by artist Alan Birch, before drawing from the Warhol exhibition in the gallery. These drawings were used to make engravings which were printed by the pupils on the portable press . Some even added collage to their prints. Impressively pupils managed to work out reverse text!
