Pendle Print Fest.
Alan Birch will be showing his work as part of the Pendle International Print Biennial which takes part on September 1st and 2nd 2012 at Higherford Mill near Nelson. Alan will be showing a variety of prints including the on going series Contemporary Saints, Monsters , Dancing with the Devil and others.
The inaugural Pendle Print Fest is taking place as part of the celebrations for the 400 year anniversary of the trials of the Pendle witches. The event takes place on 1st and 2nd of September 2012, with a preview evening on Friday 31st August 2012 6-8pm, at Higherford Mill near Nelson in Pennine Lancashire.
Alongside this weekend will run an exhibition of the ‘The Pendle Witches’, a series of etchings by Paula Rego, on loan from the Marlborough Gallery, Chelsea. These will be displayed at Colne Library/ Heritage Centre from August – November 2012.
