Parrs Wood Print.
To coincide with the exhibition of. engravings by Albrecht Durer , exhibited at the Whitworth in Manchester, Year 10 pupils from Parrs Wood High School embarked on a major creative project in 2023-24. Working with printmaker Alan Birch and photographer Andrew Brooks the pupils produced work on the theme of identity . Initial research in the form of photographs and drawings was developed into final photographic and printed pieces. Those working with Alan produced large drypoint prints, giving a glimpse into their lives and concerns, which were enhanced with collage. The works will be incorporated into a publication in conjunction with the Whitworth.
