Monsters at the Whitaker!
Over 30 people produced surreal collages and intaglio prints at the Whitaker over half term. The creative sessions run in conjunction with the paintings of John Hyatt, were run by local printmaker
Alan Birch. Using magic and spells as a starting point participants created their own monsters using a vast collection of collaged images. These were engraved into metallic card, inked with water based inks and printed using a portable etching press. Some amazing creatures were produced by children and their parents. A spellbinding session!
