Mixed Media Printing
Printmaker Alan Birch spent a day working with staff from Manchester Catholic Schools and Colleges at Xavarian College in Rusholme. Over 20 staff worked with various media including textiles, iPad and print, many combining media to produce sumptuous images. Participants were able top experiment with Gum Arabic printing, intaglio and relief printing. On their return after half term staff are looking to introduce their pupils to the new techniques . Hopefully many will use it in their upcoming exams.
