Hampson prints
Year 5 and 6 pupils from Blackrod Primary School were inspired by the lino prints of Roger Hampson during workshops in March. The prints which were displayed at school , formed the basis of some excellent drawings which were later turned into poly prints and engraving. Working with artist Alan Birch, each pupil inked and printed their own works. Sketchbooks were used to goos effect, documenting the work and researching Alan’s work. I am sure that being from the local area, Roger would have loved the work
“Thank you for the workshops. The prints they created are amazing. I’m glad you liked the sketchbooks; we have done a lot of work to develop them.”
