Grayson Perry prints
Members of the Hand Made art group at the Whitworth, were inspired by the etching ” Maps of Nowhere” by Grayson Perry to produce their own medical map of the United Kingdom. Printers used images in the pint ( currently on display at the Whitworth ) or images from a range of news stories and medieval imagery to produce imaginative drawings which were later transformed into engravings. Workshop leaders Alan Birch later added these images to a medieval map of the UK.
