Global Threads.

Over the half term break nearly 400 children and their parents worked with printmaker alan Birch, transforming their drawings into exquisite five colour relief prints. Basing their drawings on the recently opened exhibition Global Threads, participants cut shapes from a range of embossed wallpapers, which were then printed by Alan and his team. The work of Lubiana Himid was particularly popular and  colourful images of fish, birds and patterns from African fabrics were taken home, printed onto a range of coloured fabrics.
