Egypt revisited.

140 year 9 pupils from Wardle High School and Droylsden Academy experienced printmaking for the first time with artist Alan Birch.The sessions looked at portraits from the Egyptian collection.

Drawings were engraved into card plates which were inked and printed to show  how pupils can represent themselves in a variety of media.

Pupils  visited Manchester Museum for a day of activities as part of an Identity project, taking place over the next few weeks at the Museum and School.

Pupils took part in short workshops at the museum ranging from looking at Egyptian life, CSI Athens, Celebrities and Shabtis and creative activities looking at portraits.Each day 60 pupils worked with printmaker
