Alan Birch

Over the past six months, Alan Birch has been working with three other artists and poets to create work to adorn the walls of Galaxy House at Manchester Childrens Hospital. Textile artist Vicky Wheeler, mural artist Lucy Burscough, screen printer Esther Freeman and poet Chanje Cunda together with Alan produced work, inspired by the collection at the Whitworth Art Gallery. The project co-ordinated by Wendy Gallagher, Outreach Co-ordinator at the Whitworth will transform Galaxy House with murals, framed prints, poetry and textiles in abundance.
