TIm Bobbin at the Rochdale Literature Festival
Members of Milnrow Art Group, exhibited the results of a short residency with printmaker Alan Birch at the new Library in Rochdale. The Festival was officially opened by the mayor, and artists were in such illustrious company as Carl Ann Duffy and Simon Armitage who performed over the weekend. The group showed a selection of their drypoint , monoprints and poetry in the library for the duration of the Festival. The works inspired by the work of Tim Bobbin, poked fun at society, paid homage to Bobbin and illustrated poetry produced by the group. This was the first time the group had ever worked in print, but you would never have known it! Tim Bobbin would be proud!
