Traces of Displacement.
Year 9 pupils from St Ambrose Barlow in Salford spent time in the Whitworth working with printmaker Alan Birch. The group who had registered an interest in choosing art for their GCSE subjects worked from the ” Traces of Displacement ” show producing drawings and engravings using text to collage into their prints. The exhibition touched of themes of immigration, conflict and migration. Some powerful prints were produced.
